Mistakes happen, parts get lost, and sometimes a piece arrives less than perfect. Whatever the reason, we'll help you finish the build.
To request a replacement, please fill out our short form. We'll reply within 2 business days. If you don't hear from us, please check your spam or junk folder before reaching out again.

How it works
✅ Missing or damaged on arrival — free replacement
If you find any missing or damaged parts when you open your package — including a defective LED, USB cable, battery box, or switch — we're happy to replace them free of charge, shipping included. Just submit the form with your order number and clear photos within 30 days of delivery.
🔨 Damaged or lost during your own assembly — we still help
If a part gets damaged while building, we recommend you first try a drop of super glue — in most cases this fully fixes the issue, and you can keep building without waiting for shipping.
If the part is not easily repairable, glued in the wrong place and unusable, or truly lost during assembly, we can send a replacement. You only need to pay a small cost-recovery fee plus shipping. New parts typically arrive within 2–3 weeks.

- Normal wear and tear after assembly is complete
- Damage from water, fire, pets, drops, or modifications
- Items purchased from third parties not authorized by BookNookWorld
- Requests submitted later than 90 days after delivery
- Requests without photos or order details after one follow-up reminder
How to request a replacement
- Find your order number — check your BookNookWorld order confirmation email (e.g.
#123456). - Identify the part — open your printed instruction manual and find the step number and part label (e.g. "Step 12, part #B7" or "the long warm-white LED strip").
- Take clear photos — one overall shot of the kit, plus a close-up of the missing or damaged area. For LED issues, please record a 10–20 second video showing the LED plugged in and not working.
- Submit the form — Open the Replacement Parts Request Form. Takes about 5 minutes.
- Wait for our reply — within 2 business days. We may ask one follow-up question if anything is unclear; please reply so we can keep your case moving.
- Receive your replacement — you'll get a tracking number once it ships.
💡 Tip: If you can't upload photos directly in the form, upload them to Google Drive, Dropbox, or imgur and paste the sharing link in the "photo link" field.
How to avoid delays
Most "stuck" cases come from missing information. Before you submit, please double-check:
- Order number is correct (copied from your confirmation email)
- Product name matches what you ordered (e.g. "Hogsmoor Book Nook", not just "the Harry Potter one")
- Issue category is picked honestly — we replace assembly mistakes too
- Specific part is described with manual step number or part name
- At least one clear photo of the issue is attached or linked
- Shipping address is your current address
Frequently asked questions
I don't have my order number anymore — can you still help?
Yes. Submit the form with your full name, the email used for the order, and the approximate order date. We'll find it on our side. It just adds about 1 business day to processing.
I bought my kit on Amazon / Etsy / TikTok Shop — does this still apply?
Yes. Use the form and select the correct purchase channel. Some platforms also require you to file the request through their official process; we'll let you know if so.
I broke the part while building. Will you really still help?
Yes — building is part of the fun, mistakes happen. Try super glue first; if that doesn't work, submit the form and we'll send a replacement at a small cost-recovery fee.
The LED is not lighting up — what do I do?
First, try the LED with a different USB port and a different USB cable, and check any switches. If it's still dead, record a short video showing the LED plugged in and not lighting up, then submit the form.
How long do I have to report a missing or damaged part?
Free replacement requests should be submitted within 30 days of delivery. Requests after 30 days are reviewed case by case; requests after 90 days are generally not accepted.
I'd rather email than fill a form.
You can email info@booknookworld.com, but please include the same info: order number, product name, what happened, specific part needed, photos, and shipping address. The form exists so nothing gets missed.
